Project 9: In Peace Together
6th grade students at Interamericano are representing Guatemala in a global community project called “In Peace Together.” Students from every country in the world will send images of peace to Toronto, Canada where they will be assembled into an enormous puzzle. Students learned additive and subtractive methods to drawing with vine and compressed charcoal to create their illustrations of peace. We will email the photographs of our drawings so they can be printed and mounted. In Canada they will film the assembly of the puzzle on July 20th, 2009 and feature it on YouTube so everyone can share in its construction.
